Valentinian II, solidus, Constantinople mint (387)

Obverse: DNVALENTINI-ANVSPFAVG.

The emperor’s bust in armor and a paludamentumon the right. A diadem in the shape of a rose on the head.

Reverse: CONCORDI-AAVGGG, officina E; in the fragment CONOB.

Constantinople is sitting on the throne with the head to the right. A helmet on the head. He is holding a scepter in his right hand, an orb in the left. The right foot on the bow.
