Description

Simpulum with calotte shape recipient and vertical handles. The rim ring is highlighted and the outside of the handle is decorated with floral ornaments, grape leaves and two flowers. The top to the handle depicts the mask of Medusa, with ivy and flower garland (corona convivales) and swans, on the left and right side of the Medusa’s head. The bottom of the handle is adorned with volutes and two wildfowl. On its bottom stands an italic label: VALERI Po/o L VI (Pondo libras VI)
