Description

King Petar II Karađorđević Bridge was opened on the day Serbian army entered Pančevo. The bridge was inaugurated by the Prince Regent Pavle Karađorđević. Many government members attended the celebration - Milan Stojadinović, Anton Korosec, Petar Živković and Šefkija Behmen, Patriarch Varnava, president of the Belgrade Municipality Vlada Ilić and many others. During the Second World War the bridge was demolished and after the reconstruction and rehabilitation Pančevo Bridge was built in its place.
